Level 3 Walkthrough: Goo, Rails & the Allosaurus
Learn the bounce goo, restore the train area with dynamite and a generator, survive the Allosaurus by facing it and slipping through rock slits, learn goo wallrunning, then find four fuses in the rail cavern while the Allo patrols. Level 3 has no keypad codes.
Heads-up: the route below follows one detailed community walkthrough, and we have not replayed it ourselves yet. The level boundary is approximate.
1. Bounce goo and the train area
Puzzle menu- After the flood washes you up, go into the next worksite and talk to Stella.
- Yellow goo is a launch pad: run onto it and jump, aiming at the landing before you leave the goo.
- Later a red button makes the goo appear for a short time. Stand where you can run straight to it, press, then bounce at once. Missed it? Press the button again.
- At the train area, try the console by the tracks, then follow the power to the raised control building. Pull the lever on the outside wall by the door, then press the red button inside. It breaks open the dynamite locker below.
- Take the charge, plant it at the blocked metal doorway, detonate with the plunger, and start the generator behind it. The train machinery now works; follow the raised route and the tunnels until the Allosaurus drops you into its area.
2. The Allosaurus hunt
Puzzle menu- Read the note “The Allo Has Rules”: staring at the Allosaurus makes it stop for a moment, then it gets angry.
- So: when it closes in, turn and face it to buy a second, then use that second to reach the next narrow rock slit. Waiting in front of it forever does not work.
- Follow the escape arrows from slit to slit. Its body cannot follow you through them.
- A water escape follows; climb out on the yellow bounce surfaces.
3. Wallrunning, the freight key and the platform
Puzzle menu- Wallrun: run and jump onto a goo-covered wall (yellow growth on red-framed panels), then jump again to leap off toward the next ledge or bar.
- Cross the freight tunnels and search the offices beside the tracks for the key. A video room on the way adds Dalton’s story. Open the locked gate.
- The big control console has no power. Take the goo-wall route through the side passage and up the ladder; Jordan notes the hanging platform needs to come closer.
- Use the red button by the upper wallrunning route to move the platform, cross the goo panels and bar, then press the next red button from the lower scaffold and cross while it is close.
- Open the work-area gate, repair the fusebox just inside, then start the yellow generator.
- Climb the tall wooden shaft (ladders, yellow ledges). The Allo interrupts the lift ride. Continue past Dalton’s belongings and recording to the big rail cavern.
4. The rail cavern: all four fuse locations
Puzzle menuThe cavern needs a generator and four fuses, all going into the same central panel beside the floodlights, while the Allosaurus patrols. Rest in the rock gaps between trips.
Fit all four in the panel by the floodlights (each slot turns green), then operate the large control console. A red light means one fuse is missing.
Before patch 1.0.9, “not all four fuses would work in the second Allo hunt”. If a fuse refuses to count, update the game.

Fuse 1: inspect the illuminated green workbench inside the generator enclosure. Start the generator during the same trip.

The upper-platform key cabinet holds the Shed key. Read the key tags before returning to the locked shed; this screenshot identifies the cabinet, not a specific hook.

Puzzle menu- Follow the new route toward the Motherlode, climb into the next outpost and up the tower’s outside to the control room.
- Operate the red console. The path beyond descends into blue, organic-looking caverns: Level 4.
Quick answers
Where are the four fuses in Terrible Lizards?
1) green workbench in the generator enclosure, 2) the ground-floor office with the big windows, 3) the small upper wooden office (reached over the goo panels), 4) the locked shed, opened with the Shed key from the upper key cabinet near the “Call It In” sign.
Only three of my four fuses work. Is it bugged?
It was. Patch 1.0.9 fixed “not all four fuses would work in the second Allo hunt”. Update and reload.
How do I survive the Allosaurus?
Looking at it makes it stop briefly before it gets angry, so turn to face it to buy a second, then move to the next narrow rock slit. Its body cannot follow you through the slits.
How do I wallrun?
Run and jump onto a goo-covered wall (yellow growth on red-framed panels), then press jump again to leap off. Pick your landing before you dismount.
