Collectibles & New Game Plus
Four collectible sets: amber, notes, audio tapes and stuffed animals. Each full set is an achievement, and all four together is Hoarder. Amber matters most: every fourth amber unlocks a New Game Plus modifier.
No complete location list here yet. This page covers the four sets and NG+ rewards, with a tracker for your own progress. The linked walkthroughs mention some locations, but we have not verified every collectible or the totals.
Reported locations
These are individual finds reported in the linked community guides. They are not a complete route or an in-game verification.
- Amber · Level 1 gift shop. A detour from the rafters toward a round platform. Gift shop route →
- Notes · Level 1 reception. The torn code note is split between the two dinosaur skeletons. Reception clues →
- Plush pedestal · Level 4. A pedestal is reported on the return route from Cavern B. This identifies a pedestal, not a stuffed-animal pickup. Cavern route (late-game spoilers) →
- Still missing: a full audio-tape route, every stuffed-animal pickup, complete per-level lists and verified totals.
Your sets
Amber counter
Tap + each time you pick up an amber. The counter shows how many New Game Plus modifiers you have unlocked.
0 of 4 modifiers unlocked · 4 more amber to the next one.
New Game Plus modifiers
New Game Plus unlocks after the ending. Its four modifiers are tied to amber, one for every fourth piece, and they can be stacked. The developers did not say which modifier unlocks first.
Body-cam
Changes the visual presentation to a body-camera look.
Slippery
Every surface becomes slippery.
Keep moving
You die if you stop moving for more than a couple of seconds.
Low gravity
The “playground” modifier: you can break sequence and skip routes the designers intended.
The lead developer calls low gravity “probably the most chaotic” and suggests stacking challenge modifiers, for example Slippery plus Keep moving.
Quick answers
How many amber are there in Terrible Lizards?
We have not verified the total. Four modifiers at one per four amber suggests at least 16; that is an inference from the developer’s unlock rule, not a confirmed collectible count.
What do the New Game Plus modifiers do?
Body-cam (visual filter), Slippery (every surface is slippery), Keep moving (you die if you stand still for a couple of seconds) and Low gravity (lets you break sequence). You can combine them.
How do I unlock New Game Plus?
Beat the game once. NG+ then appears, with modifiers unlocked by the amber you have collected.
Is there a map of collectible locations?
This guide does not have a complete location list yet. The linked community walkthroughs identify some nearby collectibles, but we have not verified a complete set of locations.
